US Open Tennis 2012 Schedule: How Rain Delay Has Impacted Day 10

Up until Tuesday, the 2012 U.S. Open has gone smoothly with no disruptions from Mother Nature. All that changed in a big way, as the rains came down virtually all day and washed out most of the action from Flushing Meadows.

Despite that brief disruption from the weather, things are going to pick back up on Wednesday right where they left off.

Everything getting pushed back a day does change the schedule a bit, but it will not be a drastically different tournament as a result of the weather.

Here is a look at the schedule for Day 10 at the U.S. Open following Tuesday's washout.

Marion Bartoli vs. Maria Sharapova  11:00 a.m.
Andy Roddick vs. Juan Martin Del Potro  Approx. 12:30 p.m.
Andy Murray vs. Marin Cilic  Approx. 3:00
Ana Ivanovic vs. Serena Williams  7:00 p.m.
Roger Federer vs. Tomas Berdych  7:00 p.m.
Sara Errani vs. Roberta Vinci   11:00 a.m.
Stanislas Wawrinka vs. Novak Djokovic  11:00 a.m.
Janko Tipsarevic vs. Philipp Kohlschreiber  12:30 p.m.

Top Match To Watch

Roddick vs. Del Potro

Even though Roddick and Del Potro started yesterday, they still have so much to settle as they enter the tiebreaker at the end of the first set.

Every Roddick match has the added drama of knowing that it could be the end. It is like watching a series finale for your favorite television show, where every moment just captivates you because you know it could be the final moment you see a particular character.

Del Potro is standing in the way of Roddick's sentimental journey through this U.S. Open, but he is not going to go down without a fight.

No matter who wins, I think we are in for a truly special finale for both these men after seeing a few teases on Tuesday.
