Saturday's early morning broadcast of the UFC on Fuel TV from Macau, China, drew the lowest rated live audience for an event on the network. That wasn't unexpected, as the event started at 9AM ET in North America.

According to a report from MMAJunkie.com the live broadcast drew an average of 88,000 viewers to Fuel TV, while the replay brought in considerably more at 143,000. The live broadcast number was the lowest of the six UFC events on Fuel, expectedly.

The event was headlined by the middleweight bout between Cung Le and Rich Franklin, won by Le in the first round when he knocked Franklin out cold.

Penick's Analysis: To be honest I'm surprised the early morning broadcast brought that many viewers. The UFC isn't concerned about a live audience for an event like that, because the replay offering allows the events to still be seen by more. All Fuel cards are going to draw significantly less than any other UFC event, and for a card beginning at 9AM ET, this is about as good of a number as they could have expected.
